The Weekend

Well this past weekend Dany boyyyy came to Chile to visit!  It was a lot of fun!  He got in on Friday and we went to the hostel to put our stuff down and then immediately began walking the streets.  Later that night we met up at Los Dominicos park to start our adventurous night.

Everyone was super excited and just wondering who is this mysterious dany boyyyy.  Well of course the second dany met everyone they all fell in love with him, even the boys.  (truthfully I think more so the guys than the girls ;)
So we begin to walk towards the street with all the bars and I saw a bus coming so I got him to stop so I could ask for directions.  Instead of getting directions, he told me that my friends and I can hop on the bus (FOR FREE) and he would drop us off super close and then we can walk from there.  What a nice guy.
So we found this one club that was completely empty.  We got there and just tore up the dance floor.  A couple hours later more people showed up.  A bunch of us girls were in the bathroom talking, you know how girls are, and then all of a sudden this chilean girl begins to talk to us.  She turns out to be this famous Chilean actress, model, and singer.  How awesome is that.  She of course loved all of us, but unfortunately I didnt stay out long enough to become her new best friend.

The next day we had an Asado, a bbq, on top of Cerro San Cristobal.  It is a hill in Santiago, gorgeous and you can see the entire city.  The asado was absolutely incredible and relaxing.  We all sat on a bench and cooked our hotdogs and just had a great time.  There were so many chileans there that were singing and drinking.  And that is where I discovered the melon with white wine.  This creation is so simple yet sooooo delicious.  Fiona and I made a pact that we will do this before dance class, which of course we did!  After the asado a couple of us went to Bellavista to go dancing.  We were sitting on benches when this wasted old man came up to us with his tambourine.  I swear I could not understand one word that was coming out of this guy's mouth; it all sounded like, "ragarakdlgjseeogafd."  He began to perform for us and constantly asked us if he could have a sip of our drink.  Every time I was like, "NO, tú no puedes tomar nos bebido.  Estas loco."  That of course did not stop him for doing it a hundred times.
We then found a techno club and danced for a while.

Sunday I took Dany boyyyy to eat Churillano, its the most fattening delicious food on this planet.  I will be bringing it back to the states and selling it to college kids.  Its fries covered with: meats, onions, and sunny side up eggs.  Of course you can add more toppings to this dish.  It is probably the best drunk food in the history of drunk foods.  I definitely gave dany a food tour of Chile.  It was such a fun time.
Now my other friend Ariel Hoffman is here now and Fiona, him, and I are going to the beach today for the weekend.  So until next time!
